If you want to dive for instance Thistlegorm, then you better choose Sharm, but then again Hurghada region has great wreck diving as well with way more choice. HRG - SSH are about 800 km, meaning at last 9-10 h drive and approx. 1.000 USD. Of course, it may be feasible as a challenge if you start in HRG at 01:00, you may be in SSH at noon, spend 3-4 h in Sharm and then head back to HRG to arrive before midnight Reply.
